Signal intelligence complex “Cuirasse-U” - Dream to live clean?

Complex “Cuirasse-U” is designed for:
searching for, detecting, direction finding, measuring the parameters of signals, determining the type and identity of airborne radio assets;
determining the coordinates of the platforms carrying the detected radio assets, during the use of the complex from several (not less than 3) conjugate stations “Cuirasse-U”.
In the process of operation, each “Cuirasse-U” station resolves the following basic missions:
- detecting signals of radiating airborne radio assets (RA) within the working frequency range at up to 450 km distances;
- measuring the frequency and time parameters of the detected signals;
- analyzing the measured signal parameters and identifying those by comparing the measured parameters with the data stored in the memory;
- determining the Hull number and barometric height in the process of tracking aerial targets, based on decoding the transponder signals;

- determining the type of the radiating RA;
- direction-finding of the detected RAs;
- entering in the memory all the measured RA parameters and saving the results during unlimited time;
- selecting the detected RAs based on frequency and time parameters;
- eliminating the signals unneeded at the given moment from processing;
- tracking the priority RAs, both in time and space;
- printing information accumulated in the process of work, both in text and graphic format;
- testing operability of the equipment;
- passing information accumulated in the process of work over to the higher-echelon control post;
- searching for RAs, both from a fixed direction or within an operator-assigned spatial sector;
- searching for (monitoring) the RAs within the assigned frequency ranges, in an operator-assigned sequence.
There are special capabilities of the “Cuirasse-U” when used for air defense and air traffic control purposes. The key ones are:
- detecting aerial targets at ranges inaccessible to active radar;
- determining composition of air targets and threat prioritization;
- early warning about air targets to air defense;
- detection, tracking and plotting the routes, in real time, of up to 200 moving air targets;
- output of coordinate information to air target destruct means;
- possibility of resolving air traffic control tasks in peace time.
