Kalina Advanced Short-Range Radar by SAMI: Accuracy, Invisibility, Efficiency

ALEVKURP JSC conducts research activities to develop its three-dimensional radar for precise measurement of coordinates and guidance of weapons that was assigned the code “Kalina”.

The radar will be able to support automatic guidance of weapons (anti-aircraft machine gun and gun mounts, guided missiles) on the UAVs of any class, including low-speed targets and objects with low radar cross section (RCS).

An extremely low radio signature, which is due to small radiating power, will become one of the major advantages of the Kalina radar. Protection against passive jamming (clutter) will be ensured by using proprietary digital signal processing algorithms.

The advanced radar will be integrated with weapons, as well as with command posts of different levels, which will receive data on the range, azimuth and elevation of the target. Engineers will also provide the radar with a capability of being mounted on different platforms, including domestically produced armoured vehicles.
