Experts of OAO “AGAT-SYSTEM” carried out the upgrading of the charging device for the battery units of the R-181-5NU and the R-181-5NKV portable radio stations which resulted in a number of significant improvements in the device.
Key changes:
Compactness and light weight
The overall dimensions were reduced from 230 × 170 × 160 mm to 220 × 110 × 45 mm, while the weight went down from 4 kg to 1 kg. The device became portable.
Expanded power supply range
Besides the standard ~230 V (50 Hz) network, power supply was enabled from the onboard DC network in the range from 10 V to 30 V (earlier – from the 21 V network) that made it possible to connect the device to many different power sources.
Increased charging current
The charging current of the battery unit has been increased to 5 A, which significantly accelerated the charging process.
New capabilities
Power supply via the USB Type-C interface using the PD 3.1 protocol is now available which broadens the versatility of application of the device.
