At the Dubai Airshow-2019 exhibition, Belarus presented a range of UAVs of small and medium classes and of aircraft and helicopter types and effective means of counteracting the use of drones

On November 17, the Dubai Airshow opened in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), which is one of the largest international exhibitions in the aviation and aerospace industry and is one of the top 5 largest aerospace showrooms in the world.
In 2019, the exhibition was held for the 16th time. The organizers announce about 1300 exhibitors from more than 60 countries and 87000 aerospace industry specialists planning to participate in and attend the exhibition.
In Dubai, enterprises of the Belarusian military industrial complex presented the latest technologies and capabilities of the domestic defense industry in the field of development and production of aircraft and helicopter-type airborne robotic equipment, as well as a system for counteracting effectively the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
At the collective booth of the State Authority for Military Industry, organized by CJSC “BELTEKHEXPORT”, their high-tech products were presented by OJSC “KB Radar” - Managing Company of “Radar Systems” Holding”, RUE “Scientific and Production Center of Multifunctional Unmanned Aircraft Systems” of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and LLC “KB Unmanned Helicopters”.
The “BELTEKHEXPORT” company, together with the RUE “Scientific and Production Center for Multifunctional Unmanned Aircraft Systems” of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and LLC “KB Unmanned Helicopters”, developed and launched a line of unmanned aerial complexes (UAC) of various types, purposes and ranges.
The heaviest multi-functional UAV “Yastreb” produced in the Republic of Belarus with a maximum take-off weight of up to 700 kg is capable of carrying the payload of up to 150 kg or 2-3 kamikaze drones, which in essence are air-to-surface guided missiles. The flight duration can reach 6 hours, and when using a hanging tank - up to 10 hours. UAVs will be manufactured in various versions, including reconnaissance and combat ones.
A distinctive feature of the multifunctional target complex based on the UAV “Berkut-BM” is its compliance with modern requirements for combat training of the air defense forces. This compliance is achieved due to the UAV's ability to simulate air targets with various effective reflective surfaces. 
The UAV is equipped with an avionics complex, which automatically takes off, flies and lands, as well as controls the payload and the airborne part of the data transmission system. In this case, the target complex based on the UAV can be used many times.
The use of a turbojet engine provides practical range of up to 110 km, and maximum air speed of up to 400 km/h. At the same time, it is possible to simultaneously prepare combat crews of radio and anti-aircraft missile units, as well as conduct firing activities.
Today Belarus occupies a leading position in the world in the development, design and production of unmanned helicopter-type systems, and “KB Unmanned Helicopters” is one of the ten leading enterprises in the world in this area.
At the collective booth, its capabilities in this UAV segment are presented by a demonstration model of reconnaissance-combat version of the unmanned helicopter. The advantages of aircraft of this type include the lack of need for prepared runways or launching devices, the greater secrecy and safety of use, the ability to conduct reconnaissance in hover mode, and to fly along a complex route.
In addition, the “BELTECHEXPORT” booth presented models of the mini-UAVs “Busel” – “Busel M” and the “Busel M50” upgraded for special missions with range from 20 to 70 km. Depending on the set target load, they are able to carry out photo-, video-, infrared or multispectral shooting in day and night conditions.
In the middle class segment with weight of up to 250 kg - the UAV “Burevestnik”, specially designed for the needs of the Ministry of Emergencies, which can carry a gyro-stabilized platform with photo, video and infrared cameras, as well as a laser rangefinder and a radiation monitoring module, and the “Burevestnik MB” (unmanned carrier vehicle with a guaranteed transmission range of signals and communications at distance of up to 290 km in good quality in real time and two kamikaze drones under the pylons designed to destroy targets at distance of up to 40 km).
At JSC “KB Radar” – the managing company of “Radar Systems” holding”, a number of modifications of electronic warfare systems against UAVs of the “Groza” family have been developed. In this direction, the Republic of Belarus occupies a rather serious niche, and OJSC “KB Radar” is one of the five world leaders in this direction.
To combat UAVs, CJSC “BELTEKHEXPORT” introduced the electronic warfare station “Groza-S”. Depending on the requirements of the customer, “Groza-S” can be delivered on the base of various (both military and civilian) vehicles.
The “Groza-S” is capable of detecting and tracking UAVs by the radiation of airborne transmitters, displaying the location of the UAVs and ground control stations, performing radio suppression of GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, GALIEO navigation receivers, disinfecting GPS navigation receivers and removing UAVs from the route.
The “Groza-S” is characterized by wide frequency range of detection and radio suppression of UAV control channels - from 100 MHz to 6 GHz, and interferes with the navigation UAV receiver at distance of up to 40 km, and the ground-based receiver of the control station at distance of up to 10 km.
Among the main advantages of the station is the presence of an all-weather round-the-clock channel for detecting and finding direction of UAVs by radio emissions from their airborne transmitters; the ability to locate UAVs and obtain the trajectory of its flight when two “Groza-S” stations are operating in a matched pair.
In the line of the “Groza” family a mobile station of VHF radio communications interference will be presented. The “Groza” reliably detects, finds direction, locates and suppresses land lines at ranges of up to 40 kilometers, and air lines at ranges of up to 200 kilometers.
The station is capable of simultaneously suppressing 28 communication lines at fixed frequencies or one line with PROFR at speeds up to 1000 jumps per second. It can work around-the-clock with power from two own generators.
Another development of OJSC “KB Radar” – the low-altitude target radar “Rosa” solves the problems of automatic detection, measurement of primary coordinates (azimuth, range), speed of an air object, as well as automatic detection and tracking of air objects at low and ultra-low altitudes under the influence of active and passive interferences, recognition of classes of airborne objects and output of radar information to external consumers.
When creating the mobile version of the station “Rosa-RB-M”, a number of complex technical problems were solved by raising hydromechanical devices and placing the main element of the station (ring active phased array antenna) at height of up to 34 m on the chassis of one transport unit.
Due to the high mobility of the station, the air defense forces will have the opportunity to create an “unpredictable” for a potential intruder of the radar field.
The Dubai Airshow will be held for five days - until November 21.
